Korean celadon globular vase

Large and nice Korean celadon globular vase with a sparse inlaid design of flowers. A band of carved flower petals adorns the base rim.

Signed at the bottom ‘Ikeizumi’ 池泉.

Period: Korea – Late 20th century.

This vase is in the style of 12th century Goryeo porcelain. The Goryeo Dynasty aristocracy ruled Korea from 918 until 1392 and was known for its taste in luxury and refinement in what was known as Korea’s “Age of Enlightenment.”
