A high quality large hamaguri shell-shaped Nabeshima ware porcelain katakuchi 片口 (lipped bowl for serving sake) with a lively oxblood red flamblé glaze. On one side detailed with a beautiful dense dripping glaze ending in bright ice blue specks.

On the left the bowl has a subtle stylized spout for pouring. And on the right an opening to have a better grip while pouring.

The bottom even is decorated with a row of small domes which are typical for hamaguri shells 蛤.

The bottom is signed with a seal by the artist ‘Nabeshima Seizan’ 鍋島青山
