A very large cast iron tetsubin 鉄瓶 (kettle) features a relief design and a cast iron lid. The kettle is adorned with a loop-handle in the shape of a stylized melon, known as mokkô. On the top of the kettle a low relief design.
The knob of the lid restored, made from wood with a metal chrysanthemum flower.
The tetsubin is in a very good original condition with traces of wear and use conform age.
Please look at the photos for a condition reference. The kettle has been tested to see if it leaks, but there no leakage.
