Very large and heavy hard wooden figure shaped like a koi 鯉 (carp) with tufted mouth and flapping tail. Hand-carved from a single solid wooden piece with a good patina.
Approx. dimensions:
Height 51 cm, Length 70 cm, Depth 25 cm.
Weight 13.5 kg.
Period: Japan – Taishô period/Early Shôwa period (First half 20th century).
