An enticing black and gold lacquer miniature clothing rack 衣桁 (ikô).
The rectangular frame extensively decorated with scrolling leaves rendered in golden hiramaki-e 平蒔絵 (low-relief design).
The points and other connecting points with shaped copper hardware etched with a scrolling leaves motif.
As it is a miniature version of the larger clothing rack which is used to display kimono’s, it can now function as a beautiful display rack for other smaller goods which you can hang from the beams. Different accessories like scarfs or ties.

Height 61.5 cm, Width 64.1 cm, Depth 24.1 cm.
Taishō period (1912-1926).
The ikô is unfortunately warped.
Other than that it is in a good condition with minor signs of wear.
