A lovely medium-sized two-panel byôbu 屏風 (room divider) with a painting of two cranes鶴 (tsuru), also known as red-crowned cranes 丹頂鶴 (tanchô’duru). The pair of birds look up expectantly to the left. At their feet there are a few small bushes of young bamboo.
This multi-coloured painting is set on a paper background and surrounded by clouds of speckled gold.
The screen is signed Toyohiko 豊彦 and sealed twice in the lower right corner.
Surrounded by two silk borders, a thin silver one, and a broad green one. It is protected by black lacquer wooden frame.
It is in a good condition with traces of age, wear and old restorations. Please take a close look at the photo of the lower right corner. For a clear condition reference, please look at the photos as well.
