Low 4-panel byôbu 屏風 (room divider) with white herons

Fine low four-panel byôbu 屏風 (room divider) with a painting of a pair of white herons 白鷺 (shirasagi) in open water with some reed.
This serene scene is painted on light silk accentuated by white translucent streaks creating a misty atmosphere.

Signed and sealed “Akizuki” 秋月 by the artist in the lower right corner.

The panels are surrounded a broad golden silk. The screen is protected by a wooden frame with its original hardware.

It is in a very good condition with minor traces of wear. Please look at the photos for a condition reference.

Due to its small size and because the screen is light in weight, the byôbu is very suitable to be mounted flat on a wall and presented as one piece of art.
