Pretty, tall two-panel byôbu 屏風 (folding screen) covered with shiny golden silk with a faint square pattern.

The screen has a nice wooden frame with a finely carved features.

In Japan such tranquil and even screens are often used as a background for example vases with ikebana arrangements or other decorative or ceremonial objects.

Period: Japan – Mid-Shôwa period (Mid-20th century).

Total width: 191 cm (2 x 68 cm); Height: 173 cm.

It is in very good original condition with minimal traces. Please take a close look at the photos for a clear condition reference.

This room divider is very suitable to be easily mounted flat on a wall and presented as one piece of art.
