The 19th century koshirae with an iron kikugata tsuba. Iron fuchi-kashira and kurigata and a brown lacquered saya. Brown binding over same.

Nagasa (length): 65 cm
Sugata (configuration): shinogi zukuri, iori mune and a bo-bi on both sides ending in kaki-toshi. Chu-kissaki.
Kitae (forging pattern): ko-itame ni masame hada
Hamon (tempering pattern): suguha with sunagashi and chikei
Boshi (point): unrecognisable
Nakago (tang): o-suriage ending in kiri with three mekugi-ana. Mumei (unsigned)

Overall dimensions:
Length 96.5 cm, Width en depth (tsuba) 7.8 x 7.5 cm.
Probably 14th/15th century (Muromachi period)
Considering its age the blade is in a very good condition with some minor signs of age. The koshigae with more signs of age and loss of lacquer.
