Fully restored cabinet, specifically made for storing swords (katana dansu). With on each side in all drawers fixed supports (see two last pictures). The drawers have no key, but with all original hardware. Made from indigenous hinoki cypresse wood. Maximum widest lenght inside each drawer is 97 cm. In each drawer there are 7 positions.
Meiji – Taisho period.
