The Yazutsu, literally meaning “Arrow Barrel” in Japanese, serves as an arrow quiver in Kyūdō, the traditional Japanese art of archery that utilizes the Yumi, or Japanese longbow. Given the length of Kyūdō ya (arrows), the Yazutsu is notably longer than quivers used in other archery traditions. Typically, in Kyūdō practice, the Yazutsu is used primarily for transporting arrows to the dōjō.
