Well-made black lacquer wooden upright katana sword stand 太刀掛 (tachi’kake) decorated with a figure strolling along a rocky coast, on the horizon some birds fly above the sea, and a point of a pagoda peaks above some pine trees. The design is executed shiny mother-of-pearl 螺鈿 (raden). The katana stand is supported by three rounded feet.

Height 66.9 cm, Width 19.7 cm, Depth 26.2 cm.
Period: Japan – Taishô period (1912-1926).

In a very good condition with some minimal traces of age and wear. Please look at the photos for a condition reference.
