32 Plate sujikabuto-helmet

Important and heavy thirty-two plate sujikabuto-helmet, black lacquered (kuro’urushinuri) with small fukikaeshi and four neckguards (shikoro) with dark blue cords. In front of the helmet is a large pair of connected kuwagata-antlers and between the antlers a round maedate with a cut-out moon (mamukitsuki mon). In good original condition with signs of wear and age. Exceptional bronze elegantly shaped rim, encircling the helmet. Edo Period (1600-1868).
