Elegant brown patinated bronze ‘à double usage’ usubata 薄端 flower vase with a very broad everted mouth. The vase can be displayed two ways as the broad mouth is a separate part.
The neck of the baluster body decorated with a horizontal band with a inlaid silver meander design finished with ribs in relief.
The bottom of the insert with a seal ‘Take’ 竹.
Dimensions with insert:
Height 23.5 cm, Diameter 30.8 cm.
Weight 4.3 kg.
Period: Japan – Shôwa period (1926-1989).
