Chinese blanc de Chine Dehua figurine of the seated bodhisattva Guanyin, the Goddess of Mercy, also known as Avalokiteshvara or Kannon. She is seated on a large rockwork base, legs crossed, and resting a scroll in her left hand, which leans on her other hand and bended knee. A bundle of scrolls lies on an adjacent rock.
She wears long and flowy robes, ornate beaded jewellery around her neck and braided into her updo.
