A small black lacquer tryptich-shaped hinagata’byôbu 雛形屏風 (Doll festival folding screen) decorated with maki-e (lacquer design) of a blooming red plum blossom tree 梅 (ume) flanked by two open spaces lined with vibrant glossy polychrome paper. Of which the right one is shaped like the iconic Mount Fuji 富士山 (Fujisan)

The screen is in a very good original condition. Please look at the photos for a condition reference.

Total width 125 cm (2 x 25 cm & 1 x 75 cm), Height 39 cm.
Period: Japan – Heisei period (1989-2019).

Originally used as the background of the top-tier of a hina-doll set. But also very suitable as a decorative wall piece due to its very graphical appearance.
