High quality portable black lacquer tea utensils box 茶箱 (chabako) with two shelves behind a cover. The sides both have an opening covered with metal gauze decorated with a floral pattern.
The front of the cover depicts a carved landscape with Chinese figures and trees on a red ground. The back of the cover decorated with a dragon and cloud design in raised lacquer work in shades of green and brown. The metal handle of the cover in the shape of a bat.
The lacquer of the box and all the decorations are in very good condition. Please see the photos for reference.

In original marked tomobako 供箱 (storage box).
