Large globular wickerwork bamboo ikebana 生け花 flower basket with a fixed handle made of woven twigs. Executed with broad and smaller light red/brown bamboo strips in vertical, horizontal and crosswise configuration.
Unsigned – but this is a high-end and very tightly woven beautiful ikebana basket. In very good condition and with a nice warm patina.
Taishô-period -early Shôwa-period.
