High quality original kô’bô’dansu 小棒箪笥 (small cabinet of drawers with locking bar) in one section. Fully restored and functional with 9 smooth running drawers in different sizes.
The cabinet is made of precious hinoki cypress wood. It is varnished in a beautiful warm deep reddish brown hue still showing the unique wood grains.
The kô’dansu has three stacked drawers which are protected by a vertical safety bar. Next to this a hinged door with two small stacked drawers behind it. One wide drawer at the top and a small drawer below this.

The drawers are equipped with slender “warabite” bail handles.
It is in a very good restored condition. There are no keys. The safety bar functions in the old fashioned Japanese way.
