Completely restored kô’dansu 小箪笥 (small cabinet of drawers) in one section. Fully restored, cleaned and waxed.

The fronts of the drawers are made of mulberry wood, and the exterior of indigenous hinoki cypress wood. It is varnished in a lovely soft warm brown hue still showing the natural wood grain.

The kô’dansu has a pair of sliding doors, a removable panel and ten drawers of different sizes.

All the drawers, except one, are equipped with slender u-shaped bail handles with refined chrysanthemum-shaped 菊 (kiku) escutcheons. The pull ring of the removable panel is gourd-shaped. The drawers have a lot of volume for easy storage, and they run very smoothly.
