A wooden display tansu 箪笥 (cabinet), in a single section, with a striking crimson red lacquered finish.
Fully restored, cleaned and waxed.

Constructed with a pair of glass sliding doors and a pair of adjacent drawers. The drawers are fitted with silver metal cup pulls with a debossed design.
The sliding doors are equipped with a sliding lock, which can be screwed shut. Behind, displaying two shelves.

It is made of indigenous hinoki cypress wood with a vibrant red lacquer finish, still showing a bit of the natural wood grain.

Period: Japan – Taishô period (1912-1926).

Dimensions:
Height 96.4 cm, Width 79.2 cm, Depth 31.7 cm.

In a very good restored condition with minimal traces of age. Please see the photos for a condition reference.
