Superb, heavy and very detailed bronzed brass hexagonal hanging temple lantern 釣り灯籠 (tsuridôro) with an intricate open work and engraved design of scrolling foliage. The base of the body is decorated with relief panels with a continuous crashing wave design. One side is equipped with a pair of discrete hinged doors, that can close beautifully over each, only recognizable by its knob.
The top and bottom are shaped like a lotus flower and are engraved with a cloud and scrolling foliage design.
Completely on top is a sturdy circular bail handle from which you can hang the lamp. Fastened to an elegant onion-shaped point.

The lamp is equipped with a working electrified CE-fitting. Meant as a hanging lamp, but also very suitable as a decorative table lamp.
