Thai gilded bronze sculpture of a monk

Very detailed large Thai gilded bronze sculpture of a standing Rattanakosin-style monk wearing a neatly draped lavishly ornamented robe. He is holding his hands in a namaskara-mudra. Standing on a octagonal four-tiered pedestal decorated with lotus ornaments.
Second part  20th century.
It still has the original Thai export tag that we have translated as: “number Fine Arts Department allowed to issue outside the kingdom according to the leaves Licensed at 2044/2516”.

Approx. size:
Height 81.5 cm, Width 28 cm, Depth 19.5 cm.
Weight 20.4 kg.

In a very good condition with some gilt loss on the back.
