Amida Buddah

Wooden Amida (Amitabha) Buddha with traces of gilding standing on a green lotus above a gilded pedestal, one hand raised and one pointing to the ground, both hands with the thumb and index finger forming a circle: the vitarka gesture or the raiko gesture of welcoming the souls to his Paradise (Jôdô or Sanskit: Sukhavati).
