Gilded wooden figure of Buddha Amida (Amitabha) sitting in meditation with the palms of his hands turned upwards and the thumbs touching each other (hokkai jōin, Dharma-realm meditation mudra).

The head with inlayed eyes has fine carved curls and crystals in the ushnisha (supernatural cranial protuberance) and in the forehead (urna).

Amida sits in front of a mandorla with its top slightly bowed towards the viewer on a lotus flower placed above a gilded hexagonal wooden throne.
